As a courtesy to our customers, we wanted to add a list of the bars and taverns that participate in the Vilas County SafeRide Program. Furthermore, we’ve also included a directory for the participating taverns. When a customer receives a SafeRide voucher, there is no cost to them for the ride home. Please note, they cannot be used to go to a different bar.
For the sake of understanding how the program works, in order to be able to offer customers a voucher through the Vilas County SafeRide Program, a bar/tavern must (1) Join the Tavern league, then (2) purchase voucher booklets. Although several Vilas County bars (approximately 50) are currently Tavern League members, not all have purchased a voucher booklet.
Additionally, there are also several Tavern League members outside of our current service area (St. Germain, Alvin, etc.). Although this won’t be an easy task in terms of logistics, we are currently trying to figure out a way to service those locations for SafeRides only.
